TASTE OF ASIA

What is Taste of Asia?
Taste of Asia is an annual nine-course fundraising wine-and-dine event hosted by the Paul Hom Asian Clinic in collaboration with our sister clinics—the Vietnamese Cancer Awareness Research and Education Society (VN CARES) and Hmong Lifting Underserved Barriers (HLUB). This signature evening highlights a curated selection of dishes from local Asian-owned businesses paired with wines from across California.
Through Taste of Asia, we raise awareness and support for our clinic’s mission to serve and stand with the community. As a nonprofit, student-run free clinic, we are committed to providing compassionate, culturally sensitive care to patients of all backgrounds. Events like this sustain our work through the generosity of our community and give us the chance to celebrate our shared values and heritage through food, attire, and meaningful conversations.
This event would not be possible without the dedication of our undergraduate and professional students, physicians, and community members, whose passion makes it a success. More than a fundraiser, Taste of Asia is a space for connection—bringing together healthcare professionals and community members to celebrate diversity while advancing our shared mission.
At Paul Hom Asian Clinic, we strive to embody equity and cultural humility, while also learning more each day about how to carry these values forward in serving our patients together with our community.
