Diabetes

The Diabetes Committee works closely with the physicians and medical students to monitor and educate our diabetic and pre-diabetic patients. We are committed to improving the lives of our patients by offering low/no-cost glucometers, monitoring their HbA1c levels, and ensuring that they have the information necessary to live a healthy lifestyle.

Saturday Services

Every Saturday, we offer nutrition consultations with registered dieticians and nutrition interns, free glucometer distributions, HbA1c blood draw to make sure patients' blood sugar levels are continuously being monitored.

Specialty Clinics*

We hold our Diabetes Education Event every Fall and Spring Quarter, where patients can receive one-on-one consultations with a preceptor, participate in diabetes education workshops, and learn about exercise band and glucometer usage, in addition to all our services provided during Saturday clinics.

*Please note that patients MUST be seen at a Saturday primary care visit BEFORE making an appointment for ANY specialty clinic date.
