Saturday Services
As a new patient at Paul Hom Asian Clinic, you will be offered screening for hepatitis B and C. Hepatitis are a group of viruses that target the liver, causing inflammation (swelling) and may lead to serious health problems. Asian Americans, especially those born in Asia, are more likely to have hepatitis B than most Americans. Hepatitis may have no symptoms until it is too late, so screening and vaccination is the best way to protect yourself and your family. Screening is offered for free to all new patients, and our committee will reach out to you by phone and mail regarding your screening results.
Specialty Clinics*
Prevention, for patients who require a hepatitis B vaccine, is offered for free during quarterly vaccination clinics on the first Sunday of the month. Management, for patients with chronic (long-term) or active hepatitis, is provided by a dedicated hepatologist (liver doctor). Services may include cancer screenings, routine disease monitoring, and antiviral treatment, depending on your conditions.
*Please note that patients MUST be seen at a Saturday primary care visit BEFORE making an appointment for ANY specialty clinic date.
