The Psychiatry Committee at the Paul Hom Asian Clinic provides culturally sensitive mental health care to underserved Asian communities in Sacramento. The committee offers psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and interventions for patients with depression, anxiety, sleep disturbances, memory issues, or other mental health concerns. To address cultural stigma, the committee provides language support in Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, and Vietnamese, trains staff in cultural competence, and engages with community leaders to raise awareness. It also collaborates with other clinic committees to provide holistic care and organizes educational workshops to help patients and families manage mental health effectively.
